About Me

Hello Everyone and welcome to The LegacyMaker’s Blog.

Are you are wondering who  this woman is that is so passionate about celebrating heritage? I am a mother of four wonderful and lovely daughters and four grandchildren.  I was born and raised in Macon Georgia, but my maternal roots began in Hancock County Georgia where my mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and great-great-great grandmother was born.  I call Atlanta Georgia my home now.

I became interested in knowing who my kinfolk were in 2004 after watching my ump-tenth episode of Roots.  It got me to wondering, “who are my people and where did they come from?”  I thought about how little I really knew about my ancestors.  Unlike most children, I was blessed to have been around my grandmother (on both sides of the family) and my maternal great grandmother, to learn about the traditions and customs they learned from their foreparents.

Inquire of your parents, grandparents, and great grandparents if they are still with you because your Heritage matters.

Besides my passion for heritage, I love to cook.  My favorite movie of all time is The Wizard of Oz  and my favorite television series of all time is Little House on the Prarie.

If  I am anything at all my heritage has made me who I am.
